Thailand - Currency Restrictions

There is an international restriction of 50,000 Baht (THB) per visitor to be exported from Thailand without prior authorisation, unless the visitor is travelling to Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia or Malaya, when the amount is raised to 500,000 Baht.

International visitors may bring in unlimited foreign currencies.

Money Drafts and Cheque's must be exchanged for Baht at a bank within 15 days of import.

International visitors may export all foreign exchange they have taken into Thailand when they leave.

International visitors may take unlimited Thai currency (Baht) into Thailand.
